Major Changes For Funding Colorado Schools

By  |

Major changes could be coming to Colorado schools.

State lawmakers are considering a plan today to over-haul the funding process.

The measure is due to be voted on by the senate education committee today.

The bill aims to repair Colorado's funding of public K-12 education.

There have been widespread complaints the education system is poorly funded and too susceptible to cuts when the economy sours.

Most of the changes rely on voters approving a higher tax this fall.
What that tax would be hasn't been decided, but analysts say it may be a higher income tax.
