Police are investigating a church volunteer for sexual assault on a child.
Robert Kirchhoff, 54, is a volunteer at Resurrection Fellowship, a large church in Loveland. He’s currently in jail for the alleged crime, but police aren't releasing his photo.
The senior pastor at the church says Kirchhoff had been a volunteer at in the pre-teen ministry for about the past year. He said when word of the investigation came from police late last week Kirchhoff was removed from his volunteer duties.
The pastor also says that the victim attended the church.
Police say they don't have any evidence the alleged assault happened at the church. Investigators are also checking into the possibility of other victims.
Kirchhoff is being held on a $100,000 bond.
