The heavy rainfall on Monday caused major flooding at a local business.
Rain water rushed into the Pesavento’s Property Service Building, located just south of Highway 24 and Robinson street.
Employees say they actually had to use a sump pump to get the water out. Kathy Kraus was typing on her computer when it happened.
"I heard the hail so I was a little concerned about that, and then the water kept getting higher and higher by the window. And then when it came through the door, I said 'Well, this was the flood over on our side of town this time,'" Kraus explained.
The employees also had to bring in shop-vacs to dry out the carpet. They closed up shop around 4:30 p.m. after an eventful day.
