Colorado Springs police reported Friday that officials have suspended the Irish House IV's liquor license.

The bar located at 2001 E. Platte had been under investigation by the Metro Vice/Narcotics unit. Prosecutors said the staff was allowing "open air narcotics sales" during regular business hours.

Undercover officers said they purchased drugs inside the bar, which led the Colorado Springs Liquor Licensing Board to suspend the bar's liquor license.

The final hearing for permanent revocation will be held on Friday, October 5.
