Early Tuesday morning, Lindsey Vonn announced on her Twitter and Facebook pages, that she will not be competing in next month's Olympic games.
Vonn says, "I am devastated to announce that I will not be competing in Sochi. My knee is just too unstable to compete at this level. I'm having surgery soon so that I can be ready for the World Championships at home in Vail next February."
Vonn's publicist says she will have surgery shortly.
Vonn tore her surgically repaired ACL in a training crash in November, then sprained her MCL during a race in France last month.
