We are pleased to announce that beginning Thursday, KKTV 11 News and Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper The Gazette are now partners.
The unique strengths each brings to the table are only expected to enhance the fast, accurate and timely news coverage consumers have come to expect from both outlets.
News consumers can expect to see cooperation between the outlets through sharing of content and multifaceted coverage of breaking news situations. The most immediate change: KKTV Chief Meteorologist Brian Bledsoe will provide an extended forecast on The Gazette weather page alongside a daily weather planner.
"KKTV's and The Gazette's combined strengths complement each other perfectly," KKTV Vice President and General Manager Nick Matesi said in a statement. "This is a real win for the community. This partnership is a perfect example of how sometimes one plus one can equal three. Together, our two award-winning organizations can elevate news coverage to a higher level."
The Gazette Editor Joe Hight echoed Matesi's enthusiasm, stating the partnership would "usher in a new era" of "compelling, comprehensive content."
