Thousands of walkers and runners came together in southern Colorado Saturday to help end heart disease and stroke.
About 400 turned out at the American Heart Association's Heart And Stroke Walk at UCCS in Colorado Springs.
KKTV is a proud sponsor of this event and we were told at least $180,000 dollars was raised from the people at today's event.
11 News Anchor Dianne Derby spoke with an 8 year old born with a heart defect.
Gabrielle Maiorana had heart surgery less than a year ago and she helped to raise more than $1,000 on her own. Click play on the video above to hear from Gabrielle.
