Hours after fleeing his captors, an alleged murderer was caught at a Denver-area cemetery.

Turhan Robinson was en route to a prison in Illinois from Las Vegas when he made a run for it while at a Wheat Ridge truck stop Friday morning. Wheat Ridge is on the west side of the metro area, near Golden and Arvada.

Robinson was later captured at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge.

Robinson is accused of shooting and killing a man during a drug-related robbery in Madison, Ill., which is a suburb of St. Louis. CBS St. Louis reports that on May 19 Robinson and an accomplice allegedly shot a man while trying to steal marijuana from him. The suspects then allegedly dumped the body out of their vehicle and sped away. They were chased by police and allegedly shot at one of the officers. The officer was unharmed.

Robinson made it all the way to Las Vegas before he was located and arrested.
