Homeowner Wakes To Find Strangers In Garage

By  |

A bump in the night led to a frightening confrontation for one homeowner after he found two strangers in his garage.

The homeowner was fast asleep when a noise jolted him awake around 2:30 a.m. Realizing the sound was coming from inside his house, he started looking around, eventually stumbling upon two men in his garage.

The homeowner and suspects got into a confrontation, during which one of the suspects allegedly threatened the homeowner with a knife. Police have not confirmed if the knife was ever actually pulled out or if the suspect just made a reference to it.

The suspects then ran away from the house, taking some of the homeowner's property with them.

Both suspects are described as white males in their late teens, wearing white t-shirts and blue jeans. The incident happened on the 6000 block of Del Rey Drive, near Flintridge and Vickers.

If you have any information that can help police locate the suspects, call Springs police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
