A woman is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a driver who took off. Colorado State Patrol said it happened at around 7 p.m. Monday.
This was in a Security-Widefield neighborhood on Couch Place, an area near Hwy 85/85 and Main Street.
Investigators told us a woman was hit by a vehicle but the driver sped away. So at this time, troopers do not have any information about the type of vehicle that struck her.
We're told the victim is 19-years-old and at Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries, so she is expected to recover.
Investigators are asking for your help, if you were in that area around 7 p.m. Monday and have any information about the hit and run, please call them at (719) 635-0385.
