A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect this afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. This FLASH FLOOD WATCH will remain in effect through 6pm Wednesday. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat closely for you the next two days.
Colorado Springs Police are investigating serious crash that closed Constitution Avenue Saturday afternoon.
Police said a Chevrolet Malibu going east on Constitution crossed over into the west bound lanes of traffic striking a west bound White Chevrolet truck near Trent Avenue just before 4 p.m.
Four people were taken to the hospital. The driver and passenger of the truck were listed as serious but stable Saturday evening. The driver and passenger of the Malibu were listed as critical and unstable.
Police closed down lanes of Constitution between Circle Drive and Chelton Road until 6:50 p.m. to investigate the crash.
The names of the people involved in the crash have not been released.
