It's a guilty verdict for a man accused of shooting his girlfriend's ex boyfriend.
In court on Tuesday, Mark Manyik appeared calm as he listened to the judge reveal his fate. The Jury found Manyik guilty of second degree murder in the shooting death of Robert Miles.
You may remember in October of last year Manyik and his girlfriend, Traci Adams were arrested for allegedly luring her ex boyfriend to Manyiks house and shooting him. In the arrest affidavit, Manyik admitted to planning the murder and concealing the evidence. Investigators pulled phone records that show 16 successive calls between Adams and Miles, the last one just moments before he was killed.
The county coroner ruled Miles death a homicide with a single gunshot wound to the head.
In court on Tuesday, the jury also found Manyik guilty for tampering with evidence and guilty for aggravated robbery.
The jury found him not guilty for conspiracy to commit murder on the first degree.
11 News has learned Manyik is facing a sentence up to 82 years in prison. Manyik will be back in court at the end of November for presentencing.
