11 News has an answer from a group that sent out your neighbors voting history.
This is an update to a story 11 News brought you first on Monday.
The Americans for Limited Government group is behind the voting audit and they say they have one goal: to urge people to exercise their right to vote.
11 News spoke to some neighbors who received the voter audits in the mail. Inside the letter it lists who lives in the houses near you and whether or not they voted in the last two elections. Some people were concerned over how much information was put in the letter. But the Americans for Limited Government group points out it's all public record. The voting audit does not disclose who you voted for.
The group goes on to say, “We firmly believe that people who sit on the sidelines and do not engage in selecting our leaders are abandoning not just their right to a say, but are diminishing everyone's rights.”
The ALG group is based out of Virginia. They are described as non-partisan.
