Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. Remember, a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through 6pm Wednesday, where another day of thunderstorms is possible. An emergency gas line repair is causing some road closures in the Black Forest area.
Traffic is being detoured off Burgess Road just east of Black Forest road. The detour takes drivers south onto Teachout Road, then west on McFerran Road and back onto Black Forest Road.
The closure is expected to be in place through most of the day Friday.
We're told crews working to widen the road found some exposed gas lines. The gas company says no one was injured and no customers are without gas.
