More money could soon be on its way to our schools.
A monster makeover for K-12 school funding is waiting for Governor Hickenlooper's signature.
In order to fund the measure voters would have to approve about $1 billion in new taxes.
Those taxes will come in a separate ballot measure this fall.
If the tax passes, the education bill would re-adjust school funding formulas.
The taxes would also pay for statewide full-day kindergarten and expanded preschool for needy children.
