Fountain police are searching for a burglar who used a cinder block to smash the window of a Colorado Springs Health Partners business.
The burglary happened Sept. 29 at 2:30 a.m. at the CSHP branch on Fontaine Boulevard. The burglar got away with three laptops. Patient information is not believed to be compromised because of the protocols in place at CSHP.
If you recognize the man in the surveillance pictures, call the Fountain Police Department at 719-382-8555 and ask for Corporal T. Coates.
Fountain police say this burglary is a good reminder to check the security settings on your own computer and what information is available to a thief if one stole your computer. Also, if you're buying a used computer, the seller should be able to provide you with the history of the computer and demonstrate how they became the owner.
