Fort Carson is gearing up to welcome home about 200 soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team.
On Tuesday, families are expecting 150 soldiers to arrive at a ceremony held at 6:40 p.m. in the Special Event Center on post. The remaining 50 soldiers are expected to arrive on Wednesday.
The troops have been in Afghanistan since February. They oversaw the completion of 22 schools, 25 road projects, four canal and water sanitation projects, 13 medical clinics and 37 other infrastructure projects.
