If you hear a lot of noise coming from Fort Carson over the next couple of days, it's because the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team is doing field training.
The Mountain Post is doing field training from August 18 to 27. They say increased dust in the air and noise levels could result.
The training will include live-fire exercises with artillery and heavy weapons. That training will take place all hours of the day, so don't be surprised if you hear noise coming from the Army post late at night.
Fort Carson says the training is to help ready soldiers for any kind of mission that they might face in a real-world setting.
Fort Carson says if you have a complaint about the noise, you can call the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at 719-526-5996/1256/9849.
