Four dogs were killed after a fire broke out in a northeast Springs home Friday morning.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department says no one was home at the time the fire started. Firefighters worked to save the dogs, but were only able to find one survivor, an adult black lab.
The fire started around 10 a.m. at a home on the 900 block of Kettle Rock Court, located near Voyager Parkway, on the far northeast side of the Springs.
Firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the roof and the front of the house upon arriving at the scene. They got the fire knocked down within two hours.
At this time, it's unknown what caused the fire.
