Firefighters were able to save a home that caught on fire Friday morning.
A spokesman with the Pueblo West Fire Department says that though the fire destroyed the front of the trailer, the inside only sustained moderate damage, and remains livable--though will need renovations in order to be lived in again.
The fire was at an address on Saki Drive, near Joe Martinez Boulevard. It started around 10:30 a.m. Firefighters knocked the flames down within minutes of arrival, and completed work at the scene just before 12:30 p.m.
The fire started on the front porch. There's no word on a cause at this time.
The woman who lives in the home has been living at an assisted living center the last month, and was not there at the time of the fire.
