A man who fell off his roof while putting up Christmas lights says not only did the firefighters help tend to his broken leg, but they also finished decorating.

Jonathan Reynor says he and his wife were decorating their home in Fountain for their young daughters when the accident happened.

He says the firefighters told him not to worry about putting the decorations in the garage. The couple says that's where they expected the lights to be when they got home from the hospital, but instead the firefighters had finished stringing the lights.

Monday night we caught up with the firefighters who did the good deed of hanging Jonathan Raynor's Christmas lights.

Ryan Torres and Chris Frediani have kids, they were in the holiday spirit and know just how important holiday lights are to families.

The two tell 11 News they came back about an hour after Raynor was taken to the hospital and finished the job.

They made sure there weren't any emergencies at the time and were prepared to leave at any moment for calls that needed their services.

It took Frediani and Torres less than an hour to get the lighting job done.

They weren't looking for any recognition, simply wanted to spread a little holiday cheer to a man who they knew probably wouldn't be able to get to it until he is completely healed.

The family can't them enough.
