Crews have extinguished a fire at a vacant hotel.
The fire was first reported around midnight Wednesday at the former Express Inn at 8th and Cimarron, in west Colorado Springs. The hotel is no longer in use.
The building is scheduled to be torn down, so it was already gutted at the time the fire broke out. Firefighters say because of that, there was no damage to the building itself.
Firefighters believe debris or garbage inside the building caught fire, but are still trying to determine the exact cause.
