Heavy smoke was visible in east El Paso County after a barn caught fire Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters say the barn was already engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene just after 2:20 p.m., and moving towards the nearby house. The four people inside were able to get out safely.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation. There were no other reported injuries to residents or firefighters.
The barn was completely destroyed. The flames did spread to the attic of the home, but there's no word on the extent of damage.
At this time, there is no word on what caused the fire.
The home is located on Tackhouse Road, south of Falcon.
