Fire Damages Colorado Springs Home

No one is hurt after a fire at a Colorado Springs home. It started Monday morning in the chimney of a house in the 4400 block of Star Ranch Road.

No one was home when it broke out, but someone next door saw smoke and called the Fire Department.

Firefighters tell 11 News they had to break into the house and are still working on a damage estimate. They are also working to determine what caused the fire.

Star Ranch Road was closed around the house while crews were on scene. It has since been opened.
