Final Street Light Back On In Colorado Springs

By  |

Mayor Steve Bach flipped the switch Monday evening to turn on the final street light in Colorado Springs.

It's near Academy and Constitution.

Nearly 8,000 street lights were turned off in 2009 to save money.

The next year neighborhood lights were turned back on- and this year the final 3,500 street lights came back on.

The city says it will cost about $100,000 dollars to keep them running every year.
