A father was arrested after he allegedly refused to pick up his three-year-old son, who had wandered ten blocks from home in the middle of the night.
The boy was found outside of a stranger's home in Longmont at 2:30 a.m., wearing only a pair of shorts and asking for his dad.
Police say when they found Angelo Fernandez, he refused to pick up the child.
Fernandez is a registered sex offender convicted of sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Police say in spite of his lengthy rap sheet, there's nothing restricting him from living with kids.
The toddler is now in foster care and Fernandez is facing child abuse charges.
