Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Black Forest after the upturned car was found early Saturday morning.
Troopers got to the accident site on Black Forest Road and Beulah Street shortly before 6 a.m., but told 11 News they don't know when the crash actually occurred. They are waiting on a coroner to determine time of death.
State Patrol tells 11 News that based on the evidence at the scene, it appears the driver was headed south on Black Forest Road when he drove off the road. He then appears to have overcorrected, which caused him to hit a dirt embankment. His vehicle then rolled several times. The driver was ejected.
The driver has been identified as 23-year-old Jessie Boos of Larkspur. Boos was not wearing his seat belt, according to State Patrol.
The crash remains under investigation. Troopers are investigating the possibility that Boos fell asleep at the wheel.
