It's been a little over a year since a college student was found strangled to death in her apartment. Angelina Sicola was a sophomore at UCCS, majoring in communications, when she was found dead in her apartment in Colorado Springs. Detectives still don't have any answers about her death.
Angelina's mother, Pam Lively, is determined to find the person who strangled her daughter on May 2, 2013.
"We want everyone to know that we are not giving up. We want her killer to know, we are not giving up this fight for justice," said Lively.
Angelina's stepsister, Susan Shelters, is trying to help detectives find new leads. She set up a donation website called "Justice for Angelina." Her hope is raise $10,000 that will be given as a reward to anyone who has information about Angelina's death.
"To everybody who's donated, to everybody who will donated... that generosity is always comforting, but it's so appreciated."
Lively says people can donate anonymously. Lively hopes this money will serve as an incentive for someone to come forward with information about her daughter.
"I have no doubt that we can get this reward money and I hope that maybe we can get her case solved," said Lively.
