It's Election Day and there are several places that you can go to make sure your ballot is counted.

If you are a registered voter and do not have a mail-in ballot, you can vote at your designated polling place.

You can drop off your mail-in ballot at any polling location, or at the county clerk and recorder offices.

At the main office on Garden of the Gods Road, ballots can be dropped off from your car. That service is also available at the clerk and recorder offices downtown, on Powers and Airport as well as on Union and Research.

Election officials advise heading to the polls this afternoon, to avoid the rush in the morning and after 5 p.m. If you're in line by 7 p.m., you will still be allowed to vote, regardless of your position in line.
