Six years to life.

That's how long an El Paso County woman convicted in a horrifying sex assault case will pay for her crime.

Debora Schreffler, also known as Debora Knox, was found guilty in September on multiple felony charges including sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Her victim was only 11 years old when authorities say Schreffler, her husband Raymond Knox and family friend Robert Tysor took part in raping and pimping the young girl out.

The extensive sexual abuse of the child came to light a couple of years ago after Knox was already in prison serving a possible life sentence for sexual assault on a child. In a confession to a therapist, Knox detailed the atrocious acts committed on the child, from the three adults simultaneously raping her to Tysor, a truck driver, taking her with him on the road and allowing other truck drivers to perform sexual acts on her for money. These details were first revealed in arrest papers obtained by 11 News after Schreffler's arrest in March.

Tysor was sentenced around the time of Schreffler's arrest. He will spend 16 years to life in prison for his role in these crimes.

Schreffler initially pleaded not guilty at the time of her arrest, and on Monday she again denied her role. The judge ruled for Schreffler to see a psychiatrist while in prison to help her admit what she did.

The victim addressed the courtroom through a phone call, stating that what Schreffler did was wrong and that she needed help.

Schreffler will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
