Why The Video Looks Shaky (Don Ward)

A spokesman for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirms to 11 News they got a report about a possible shooting to take place at a local high school.
The report says a shooting is going to take place Friday, Dec. 21, at Mesa Ridge High School in the Security-Widefield area.
The report was made on Dec. 13. Deputies say they have not been able to substantiate the report, but have sent out available resources to make sure the schools are safe.
11 News spoke with the director of communications for the district, James Drew. He tells us in a written statement that the threat was vague and was investigated by school administrators, the sheriff's office and the Fountain Police Department.
Drew tells 11 News there were never any student names associated with the threat and that they are treating it as a rumor. He says the rumor was linked to the Mayan Calendar.
