El Paso County Sheriff's Office Gets New Fire Fighting Tools

By  |

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has a new tool to help fight wildfires.

A $20,000 donation from the El Pomar Foundation helped the department buy two Utility Terrain Vehicles.

The sheriff’s office says the UTVs will help firefighters get the equipment they need on the fire line. They will also help firefighters navigate in tough terrain.

Firefighters will also use the UTVs for fire mitigation efforts.
