EPSO Investigating String of Trespassing Cases

So far in the month of July, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office has investigated three different trespassing cases at storage facilities.

The Sheriff's Office says it's the same person or people committing these crimes, sometimes stealing from RVs, other times causing some damage and leaving.

"We had a break-in," said Neil Cooper, who works at Springs Auto and Truck Services. "There were some holes in the fence."

Staff at Springs Auto and Truck Services, the first place targeted, say they're stepping up their security for customers.

"Nothing is really missing," Cooper said. "[The suspects] rustled around in a few things but nothing gone. It's pretty odd."

The Sheriff's Office says Stetson Hills Storage was hit next. Four RVs were targeted, and two televisions were stolen.

Just a few days later, Your Storage Center on Space Village Avenue was targeted. The perimeter fence had been cut and three RVs were broken into. No property was stolen, but glass was broken.

The staff at Springs Auto and Truck Services say they're going through their security camera footage, looking for any clues.
