Six people were arrested Saturday afternoon as police recovered a stolen car, identity theft evidence, drugs and a large amount of money from a motel room.
CSPD says an officer first noticed the stolen car late Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a Days Inn on East Pikes Peak. While he investigated the car, he reported that two people ducked down and tried to hide from him. The officer contacted both and determined there were existing warrants for their arrests.
The officer then determined where the occupants of the stolen car had been staying, and went to visit the room. There, police say he found meth, two guns, a large amount of money and identity theft evidence. Four more people were taken into custody. Those four are expected to be charged with identity theft, narcotics charges, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and motor vehicle theft.
Police identified the six arrested as: Bobby Martin, Brent Bury, Stephen Robbins, Derek Smith, Danyiel Zimmerman and Stephanie Celusta.
