Two cars were involved in a collision at the Colorado Springs intersection of Fillmore and Cascade Thursday morning because one of the drivers was careless, police say.
Police say the driver of a red sedan turned left in front of a westbound SUV. Both drivers were taken to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
A passenger in the SUV was thrown against the windshield with significant force. Police say they were more seriously hurt and are still being evaluated at the hospital.
Police say the driver of the red sedan will be ticketed for careless driving.
