Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. A driver is in critical condition after losing control and being thrown from the vehicle.
The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the driver was not wearing a seat belt when the vehicle rolled on the Highway 24 exit ramp off of southbound I-25.
The pickup truck came to rest in a field. The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition. His name has not been released, but police say he is 28-years-old.
No other vehicles were involved.
The crash is still under investigation, but police say they believe speed and alcohol were both factors.
