A driver is in critical condition after losing control and being thrown from the vehicle.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the driver was not wearing a seat belt when the vehicle rolled on the Highway 24 exit ramp off of southbound I-25.

The pickup truck came to rest in a field. The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition. His name has not been released, but police say he is 28-years-old.

No other vehicles were involved.

The crash is still under investigation, but police say they believe speed and alcohol were both factors.
