Police are seeking information about a crash on the southwest side of the Springs early Tuesday morning.

A security guard found a car up against a tree on Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard, not far from The Broadmoor, just after 1 a.m. The airbags were deflated, but no one was in the car.

Authorities searched the area but found no sign of the driver or any possible passengers. Police checked on the vehicle, and say it was not reported stolen. They also did not find any signs that the driver may have been drinking.

Police say that if the driver is found, he or she could face careless driving charges.
