Continuing to track rain/snow showers throughout southeast Colorado this morning as wet, gloomy and cool conditions continue. If you are hitting the roads in the higher elevation (Teller/Fremont/Custer/ Monument) make sure you allow a little extra time as some roads may be a little snow covered. Wet pavement remains everywhere else. We'll see rain/snow showers continue for most of our Monday, clearing out before midnight. Head on over to the "Weather" tab for a full look at the week ahead.
Discovery Canyon Campus in District 20 was evacuated late Wednesday morning because of a bomb threat.
Students were taken to New Life Church on Voyager so their parents could pick them up. High school students who were not picked up were taken home on their regular buses.
The school district tells 11 News that the bomb threat was called in through the "Safe To Tell" phone line at 11:24 a.m. Springs police say their regional explosives unit swept "every single classroom and every single floor." A spokeswoman with the Police Department says it's a very thorough process. It took several hours before the school was reopened.
Police found nothing suspicious in the school.
