The Fremont County Sheriff's Office released Tuesday the name of a man who drowned in the Arkansas River. The body of Thomas McMurray, 63 from Crestone, Colorado was pulled from the river on Monday.
Deputies recovered his body from the river at a spot near Wellsville, in the west end of Fremont County. It's the fifth body to be pulled from the river in two weeks.
Based on the investigation, authorities say the McMurray fell out of an inflatable kayak. He was reportedly wearing a helmet, life jacket and wet suit.
