A tragic rollover accident claimed the life of a female passenger who was thrown from the vehicle.
The accident happened around 4:40 p.m. Saturday on Highway 9, about three miles north of Hartsel. Hartsel is about 45 minutes west of Woodland Park.
State Patrol says the driver, 43-year-old Eric Seremet, overcorrected when he drifted off the right side of the road, which reportedly caused the vehicle to spin out of control. Troopers say the vehicle crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic before going off the left side of the road, where it rolled twice and hit three fences.
CSP says when they arrived minutes after the call came in, one of the victims was already receiving CPR.
The front passenger, Sonia Seremet, 37, was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled. She was flown to the hospital, where she passed away.
The driver and two children who were in the backseat were also flown to the hospital. Eric Seremet was listed in fair condition Sunday afternoon. No word on the condition of the children.
