A Colorado Springs man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle and hitting a truck. That's according to Colorado State Patrol.
Troopers say 46-year-old Christopher Gunderson was riding west on Highway 50 in Howard, Colo. when he lost control and was thrown off the bike.
Investigators say he then hit a Ford Ranger that was waiting to turn left.
Deputies say Gunderson was wearing a helmet and eye protection. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was reportedly not wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. 11 News spoke to his wife who tells us her husband was a CW4 in the military for 27 years. He was also a foster dad to more than 22 kids, one of which the family adopted. He was also a CVMA (Combat Vets Motorcycle Association) member. She says he was the most amazing man she's ever known.
