A serious traffic accident in Pueblo that closed Highway 50 claimed the life of one woman, and sent an adult and a child to the hospital Friday evening.
Colorado State Patrol says 36-year-old Valerie Taylor, of Pueblo, was killed when she failed to stop at a red light at Purcell Boulevard and Highway 50 shortly after 8 p.m. Her Dodge Neon collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was heading westbound on Highway 50.
A 15-month-old sitting in a car seat in the backseat of Taylor’s car was taken to Parkview Main Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
