'Dangerous' Suspect At Large After Allegedly Threatening To Shoot Group

A man who allegedly threatened to shoot several people and then led officers on a dangerous pursuit remains at large.

Police say JuJaun Tanelle Vinson is considered armed and very dangerous.

A group of people were outside a home on Bennett Avenue in Colorado Springs just after 9:40 p.m. Thursday when Vinson allegedly pointed his gun and threatened to shoot them. Police have not said if the incident was random or if Vinson knew the group.

Vinson left before officers arrived on scene, but a vehicle resembling the one he had left in returned to the street while police were still there. Officers tried to stop the vehicle to see who was inside, but say the driver fled. Police chased after the car but say they eventually had to stop the pursuit because of the "dangerous actions of the driver."

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Vinson, and are asking the public to be on the lookout. Vinson is described as a 23-year-old black man, 5-foot-6 and 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a white Crown Victoria, Colorado license plate 011-ZHA.

If you see Vinson, police say to call 444-7000 immediately. Do not approach him.
