Suspects Allegedly Behind Threatening Facebook Page Identified

Two suspects have been identified as the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and District 49 investigate a threatening Facebook page targeting students.

The page, which called for a number of students to be attacked or bullied, even went as far as suggesting a shooting at one of the district's school. D-49 spokeswoman Stephanie Wurtz said that after the district was alerted to the page, they reported it to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office doesn't think it's a credible threat, but has still increased patrols at D-49 schools as a precaution. Wurtz agrees that based on the information gathered so far, no one appears to be in any danger. The page was taken down Thursday evening.

Investigators say the suspects are both D-49 students: 18-year-old Alexander Natale and 18-year-old Kyle Pate. Natale was served a summons Feb. 28th for harassment, while a summons for Pate is pending.
