Two customers and an Albertsons manager held down an assault suspect until police responded.

Springs police say a man was with his mother at the pharmacy at the Albertsons on Austin Bluffs and Dublin when he became angry with a female pharmacist. Police say the man left with his mother, but later came back.

When he returned, police say the man jumped over the pharmacy counter and started to assault the pharmacist. They say he even pulled out chunks of her hair.

Two customers and a store manager saw what was happening and stopped the suspect. They held him until police arrived.

Nicholas Jones, 40, was taken to the hospital to treat injuries from the struggle. He was served a summons for third-degree assault and released.
