An armed man is on the run Friday night after police say he robbed two gas stations and a Dollar Tree Store.
Police say the man targeted a Dollar Tree store on South Academy, a Diamond Shamrock on North Circle and another gas station on East Fountain Boulevard.
The crook is described as a black male in his 50s, standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot9. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a flag on it, blue jeans and a light blue baseball cap.
The man walked into The Corner Store near Platte Avenue and Circle Drive around 8:30 Friday night, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. He took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
About 45 minutes later he entered the Dollar Tree on South Academy and Hancock Expressway. Police say he also pointed the gun at the clerk and took a soda. While police were investigating that robbery, they received a call regarding a robbery at the Circle K on Murray Boulevard and Fountain Boulevard.
Police say the man once again held up the convenience store at gunpoint and left with cash. Police searched the area but were not able to find the man.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see a man matching his description, call police right away at 719-444-7000.
