Man Pinned By Boulder Tells 11 News He's Doing Well

A landscaper says he is in pain, but doing well after being pinned by a large boulder in Colorado Springs.

11 News spoke to the man Monday night by phone. He tells us he is doing very well, he has one small broken bone in his leg. He also told us it seemed like ages but it took rescue crews about an hour to dig his legs out from under the huge rock.

The man was working to repair a water line and was digging in the area when the boulder rolled down on top of him, trapping his legs.

Fire crews had to dig the man out. The boulder weighs about two tons.

The accident happened Monday afternoon off of Brandywine Drive in the Broadmoor Bluffs area in Colorado Springs.

The man works for NBS Excavating.
