As rain and snow pulls away from the I-25 Corridor this morning, our main concern is fog, which could be dense in spots through the morning commute. Roads are of lesser concern, as most should simply be wet. However, secondary roads and any bridges and overpasses away from city warmth could be a bit slick, so please be careful. Fire crews in Douglas County say they are in the final stages of extinguishing an early morning house fire.
The house is west of Castle Rock, in Pike National Forest. Douglas county deputies tell us, westbound Highway 67 is closed at Rampart road.
The fire reportedly started just after 5 a.m. No cause has been given. It's not known if anyone was inside the home at the time.
