A man convicted of the murder of his roommate was sentenced Wednesday.
Emilio Ruiz will spend 48 years in prison for second degree murder and a concurrent sentence of ten years in prison for aggravated robbery.
Ruiz was convicted of the stabbing death of Franklin Chandler during July of 2010. Chandler's body was found inside their shared apartment in the Greencrest Apartments, located near Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway.
