A convicted sex offender will be held without bond, a judge decided Tuesday.
Robert Davidson, 53, allegedly cut off his ankle monitor last year and eluded authorities for months--until a tip led law enforcement to a Denver bar. Davidson's was arrested May 30.
Family members told 11 News that Davidson confessed to committing incest with a young relative in 2010. He was convicted and sentenced to at least 10 years probation, during which time he was supposed to get treatment and be under intense supervision.
His niece begged publicly for Davidson to turn himself in, telling 11 News' Betty Sexton that he needed help and "belongs locked up."
During his year as a fugitive, Davidson got work as a handyman in the Springs and Monument. We are told that is how he was eventually recognized and caught.
